Hot Popsicle is three players from Portland, Maine who have been doing this a long time — thousands of shows between us, and well over a hundred weddings and corporate events before this band ever had a name.

Almost every cover band is built around a guitar. There isn't one on our stage. Hot Popsicle is keys, drums and saxophone, with all three of us singing — and that changes what we're able to play.
It opens up a catalogue most cover bands never look at: songs carried by keys, horns and rhythm rather than riffs. And we don't pass on a song because a woman sang it. With three voices in the band, we'd rather work out the arrangement than skip the tune.
The same three players at every event. No rotating roster, no sub you've never met turning up on the day.
Andre started Hot Popsicle. He has been performing in bands for over twenty years and has played thousands of shows, well over a hundred of them weddings and corporate events. Since 2013 he has also been behind the kit for Hello Newman, a 90s alternative covers band.
Drums, by his own account, is his best instrument. Keys and singing are the ones he loves — which is most of the reason this band exists at all.
The only full-time musician of the three, and it shows in how much ground he covers: saxophone, synth, percussion and vocals here, bass and vocals in Hello Newman, and a solo acoustic act of his own around Portland.
He also books talent for a venue in Portland's Old Port, which means this band has someone who has seen the whole thing from the venue's side of the table.
Davis has been drumming and singing in live bands since 2010, and playing music with Andre considerably longer than that — they are brothers, and they have been in bands together since high school.
He also drums and sings with the cover band Inside Wants Out. Between the two of them, the rhythm section has been locked in since before either was old enough to play a bar.
